the piece of work i did for the submit & exhibit, art in the underbelly exhibition at the rumsey wells (12th-31st jan 2012)
it was supposed to be the start of a typography based project. however i have not had two days off in a row from my other job since i did this piece so haven’t managed to get my butt into gear! i love words and drawing words so i am going to produce 26 alphabet based images. starting off with the style i feel comfortable using i want to explore new approaches and techniques. there is no time limit but keep your eyes peeled.
so this is the first one :)
i now have 3 days off in a row and im going to draw until my hand withers…

i dont really buy whole albums because they are very rarely consistent all the way through. i have pretty high expectations for an album and want high quality non stop. the last whole album i bought was ‘marian - only our hearts to lose’ which is incredible from beginning to end. it holds onto me and i can listen to it again and again and again. that purchase was a good few months ago and whilst it has not bored me one bit i think its high time i got something new…
so i got myself ‘the house of x-press 2’
remember that track lazy? well listen to it now. then listen to it again because its so good. then buy yourself this. it is awesome. it has some really nice guest producers and vocalists. and whilst every track is very different it definitely holds it for me from start to finish. plus these guys have been going since the 90s so they kinda know their shit.

The 11 Artists project was created 12 months ago by SHhhh to enable emerging artists to gain exposure through clothing collections and a selection of exhibitions.
Over the past 12 months we selected 11 artists. Each month one of these artists created a collection of t-shirt designs.
These t-shirts alongside original artwork have been displayed in a context that complimented the artist, whether it be a bar, a gallery, in stores or online.

Our next exhibition at AITU features artists from as far afield as the USA and as close to home as Norwich itself. Free entry as always with live music, DJs and a limited edition giveaway for the first 20 people through the door
this is tomorrow evening…it is going to be really really good (ive sneak peeked so i know!)…it is in the lovely belly of my workplace…i have a piece of work in it…so do some of my lovely friends…and i will be djing
